Lorrie King

Lorrie joined the Growth Energy team as the Vice President of Operations & Chief of Staff in August 2021. Prior to joining Growth Energy, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) — a U.S. government agency that partners with the world’s poorest countries to reduce poverty through economic growth and institutional reform across 46 countries and five continents. Before joining the MCC, Lorrie was Special Assistant to the CEO at the Retirement Systems Investment Commission, the investing arm of South Carolina’s $40B pension fund. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, Lorrie began her career at the South Carolina Governor’s Office working in the governor’s immediate staff for nearly two terms. First hired as a staff assistant, Lorrie eventually served as the Director of Boards and Commissions, where she worked with the governor to find, vet, and confirm political appointees from across the Palmetto state. Lorrie has lived in Washington, D.C. since 2015, but hails from the South Carolina coast.
